Q. Is Reason to Run "walker friendly"?
A. Yes! For our Spring events we are planning to support participants out to 19 minute per mile pace (~60 minutes for 5k, ~120 minutes for 10k). We will also make sure that both the first and last finisher get aid station support and finish line food.

Q. Does Reason to Run support any charity?
A. Yes! A portion of our proceeds will go to Life Vocational Training for street kids in Honduras. See the Another Reason link for more details.

Q. Will there be race awards?
A. Yes. We will have overall and age group awards for the 5k and 10k runs.

Q. Will there be door prizes?
A. Yes. Everyone likes getting something unexpected and we are planning to have door prizes such as running clothing, sports event entries, gift cards, flowers and more.

Q. Can jogging strollers be used during the events?
A. Yes! We invite families to run together. Please be considerate on the narrower parks of the route for the other participants.

Q. Are shirts sized for women and men?
A. Yes! Trisha has worked hard to find shirts that look good and fit well for both sexes.

Q. Are the Spring events run entirely on trails?
A. No. Some of the course is run on paved access roads within Cook Park. No cars should be on these roads when we are running. Most of the course is on paved bike trail. A small percentage of the mileage is on bark trails. Cook Park will remain open to the public during our events so we will have volunteers making sure everyone is safe during the event. It is unlikely there will be much other traffic in the park early on a Saturday morning in April.

Q. Will there be race day photographs available?
A. Yes. Evan Pilchik Photography will be at the events. See the Photos page for more details.

Q. When and where do we pick up our race bibs and t-shirts?
A. We are planning packet pickup at the Foot Traffic location in Lake Oswego on Friday, April 9th. There will also be packet packup on race day starting ~7:15 am.

Q. Do we need to bring our registration info to pick up our race bibs and t-shirts?
A. Yes please.

Q. Will there be official timing and when will the race results be ready?
A. The race timing will be done by Timing By Zornick who, from our experience, typically have the race results up that same evening as the events.

Q. Where exactly in Cook Park do the runners meet?
A. We will have volunteers directing you to help find the correct location but it should be easy to find as you drive into the park.

Q. What is the best way to stay informed of any changes?
A. Sign up for the Reason to Run mailing list on our Contact page. We will also post updates on Twitter so follow us there or see our News page.
